Hannah's Birthday

Hannah Marie would have been 12 today.  Tough day for all of us.  We miss her terribly.  From her birthday through Christmas are especially tough as that time frame took us from relapse to her final days..  We've decorated her plaque and bench.

Happy Birthday baby girl.  I would do anything...  I love you.

PS - This will be my last post.  I will leave the website up and you can continue to add comments.  They will go directly to the site.  I will check in from time to time.  Thank you and we love you all.  The Turowski's..

Happy Birthday Hannah - I was just thinking of her the other day, I came across a picture of her and Emma that I took when she was home for a little while from the hospital. I know Emma thinks of her often and wishes things were different for you. Please know we are still thinking about you and your family and that we will never forget your wonderful beautiful daughter.

I was googling Peoria Rocket hoping to provide a site with some facts on that train that used to run CHI-PEO/PEO-CHI.
I saw something about a Hannah & a Scott. It was a strange coincidence for me. My mom was born Hannah (Friedman) in Peoria in December of 1909. Her younger sister Grace had a baby boy named Scott (my cousin) who was born about 1942. Scott died of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma a few years back. My mom's mother died when my mom was 6 months old. They'd been on a picnic and got caught in the rain. My grandma got pneumonia and they did not have anti-biotics in 1910, so she died as a very young woman. My mom went to Longfellow School, Peoria High, Univ of IL and came home to Peoria to teach special ed.
My mom Hannah died at age 92 in 2001.
So the combinations of the names Hannah, Scott, and the lymphoma thing caught my eye. I will end by expressing my condolences to you. I've lost loved ones including a wife to cancer after 37 years of a great, adventure filled marriage, so I know what it feels like--tho losing a child must be the worst.
Not long ago my daughter went to see Deb Sheppard in Colorado, who is a psychic. My late wife invaded their session. I got an appt with that psychic 6 months later and she told me things that only my late wife and I knew. I can't prove that there is an afterlife, but with that visit with that psychic, I have come to realize that perhaps one's spirit continues on somehow in the vast reaches of space. There is so much we do not/and will never know. Let me tell you I think your Hannah is smiling down on all of you with a very loving and grateful smile. When you can look out on a still, dark night and smile back at her and tell her you love her, you will have come a long way in your grieving.
Bless you. I don't mind if you write:

I received almost 200 emails today from this site. Old messages. I guess someone was trying to catch me up. So I unsubscribed. Now I find that this is actually Peoria, Arizona vs. Peoria, Illinois where MY maternal family is from. I guess the names Peoria, Hannah, Scott and the case of lymphoma parallelled by own family experience too much for me to not send my well wishes to the family and relate my own story a bit. I have unsubscribed from receiving updates and wish all of you well.
    Dr. Stan
